Brooke Avory
Brooke Avory, CiYuan Program Manager, is responsible for program planning, monitoring, and evaluation. She is also responsible for the program’s financial management as well as the implementation of several of the CiYuan pilot projects. A fluent Chinese speaker, she most recently held the position of Partnership and Liaison Officer for a non-profit organization running health- and education-related initiatives in ethnic minority communities in China. Adam Lane
Adam Lane, Manager, Advisory Services, is primarily responsible for CiYuan’s corporate-NGO partnerships initiative. He has over seven years of experience working on corporate partnerships in China through his work with BSR’s member companies in the areas of stakeholder engagement, strategic philanthropy, and community development, as well as in positions prior to BSR at AIESEC and Plan International. Kara Hurst
Kara Hurst, Vice President, provides guidance and senior management support for BSR’s initiatives, including CiYuan. Based in New York, she connects CiYuan to networks, foundations, and member companies in the United States. She has extensive experience developing industry collaborations and working with businesses of all sectors. She also leads BSR’s work on social entrepreneurship. Kara is the co-author of a recently published children’s book on pro-bono service and volunteering. Full bio
Jeremy Prepscius
Jeremy Prepscius, Managing Director, Asia, Jeremy is in charge of serving and expanding the member base in Asia and integrating the work there into the BSR global approach, focusing on issues such as water, the next generation of social compliance work in the supply chain, the evolution of CSR with Chinese characteristics and the framing of CSR issues in Asia. Jeremy has extensive experience in engaging corporate / NGO experience, having built such programs at NIKE focusing on labor, community and occupational health issues. He adds to this experience his background in government relations, communications and public relations, as well as project design and management skills. Full bio
