BSR’s three-year CiYuan (China Philanthropy Incubator) initiative builds innovative cross-sector partnerships to enhance the value of social investment in China. With guidance from international and Chinese leaders in the field, CiYuan improves the capacity of local foundations and NGOs to serve as durable and effective partners with business. Ultimately, CiYuan will integrate philanthropy with core business strategy, foster collaboration, and inspire innovation.
Through CiYuan, BSR’s efforts will include:
1. Supporting the development of Chinese foundations through fostering new thinking, inspiring innovation, providing strategic advice, and creating a toolkit, case studies, trainings, roundtables, and demonstration projects.
2. Improving the fundraising ability of NGOs through an NGO transparency initiative that includes a voluntary disclosure standard, disclosure implementation tools, and guidance on how to align NGO disclosure guidelines with established online giving platforms.
3. Fostering innovative corporate-NGO partnerships through demonstration projects that will inform a collection of case studies and training modules. Awards will be given to recognize successful partnerships.
